If you enjoy Nascar, the speedway is a must. Uptown has a lot of sidewalk cafe type places, and the stadium is there too.

I was born in Charlotte and still live here. There are several things to do. And some of the best restaurants in the South.
Discovery Place is a great museum that's downtown. There's also several art galleries and the Museum of the New South, which houses art and artifacts from all over. Then you have Carrowinds, the amusment park. There are two lakes that are huge, Wylie & Norman. You can go see the speedway and take a tour also. We have the NBA, NFL and AAA Baseball.
The Penguin is a great restauant. Hotel Charlotte, Cusine Malaya, Shun Lee Palace, several awesome mexican & thai places and the Penguin! Have fun!

Best attraction in NC - the Outer Banks... take a day trip to Nag's Head!!!!!!!!!! Assuming you like beaches and hot bods!!! :-)
