Purchase a dvd lens cleaning disk for twelve dollars and put it in the tray a couple of times and run it. It should clean the lens so it can read the disks.

did you send off your warranty card when you bought the machine? if so there is a number in the manual that tells you who to phone to get it replaced, my friend has gone thru 4 xbox360's now, but be warned the will not give you your hard drive back when they give u a new machine, buy a memory card and save your gamesaves on it so you dont have to start from scratch with everything, if you did not fill out the warranty card then i guess you are sort of screwed, the best bet would be to go and by a new core unit and attach your hard drive to it, they have recently bought the price of core units down by £50,

there is a risky alternative, if it is deffinatly screwed up you can open the case and remove the Dvd drive connectors, clean out the connectors and replace it all, see if this helps, but do not do this if it still under warranty

Well to fix your certain problem with your Xbox 360 I believe that you'll just have to go to either a pro. on those certain problems with that certain System Or you'll have to go out and right some to go ahead and fix it yourself....and other than that I don't know what to tell you about how to fix that Problem with your Xbox 360 other than getting in contact with the Xbox 360 system company and asking how to fix that problem with it.

Microsoft extended the original warranty to 1 year, retroactive to date of purchase. Since it's only 6 months old, Microsoft should repair or replace it for you.
