Very often a message. For example many of the books by Dickens comment on the terrible conditions of children in Victorian England.
Shakespeare - 'Hamlet' comments on suicide ('To be or not to be' speech); family betrayal; feelings of uselessness when some-one is more powerful. The 'Henry' plays comment on bravery and patriotism. 'The Merchant of Venice' comments on greed and so on.
'Les Miserables' comments on the differences between poverty and wealth and stresses thought on loyalty.
'War and Peace' - obvious comment.
The Brontes books comment on the enduring power of love.
I got a top mark when I was 16 and wrote about Jane Austen's 'Pride and Predujice' being an early feminist book em-powering women.
'To Kill a Mockingbird' comments on the racism of the day.
One could go on and on but
a MESSAGE/ SOCIAL COMMENT is almost essential

it particularly is the deal There are various diverse eras/varieties interior the classical music. first of all you have Baroque which may well be your Bach, Scarlatti, Handel and a bunch others. Baroque music is rather sparkling, and has diverse melodies performed at diverse cases in diverse palms. you do not use pedal in any respect in any baroque music. for my area Baroque is the toughest to play. Secondly there is the Classical era, this may well be your Mozart, Beethoven, Hayden. Classical music is rather shape and you will't play a incorrect notice or each and every physique will word. not an excellent style of pedal the two. Thirdly you have Romantic, it particularly is my sought after era and that i prefer to propose taking part in something from this era. The composers in this era are Brahms, Chopin, Mendelssohn, Schubert, Rachmaninoff. i'm presently in love with Mendelssohn, and propose taking part in something by him. i won't manage to truly say what products you may look at from those composers because of the fact i don't understand what point you're at, yet something from those composers indexed is great! desire you have relaxing searching for cool music, and that i'm hoping I particularly have knowledgeable you in some music background!

Great characters and a timeless story. The beauty of a great character or story is that the reader can identify with it and admire it indefinitely. Take 1984. It is long past that actual date, but the story holds up. Gone With the Wind could have taken place in Ancient Egypt, but the characters and story would still be compelling, just the details changed. Great characters teach us something about ourselves, or humanity in general.

Of course, it has to be well plotted and with good prose. A poorly written story, no matter how entertaining, is unpalatable and forgetable.

These are great writers who have studied their craft and they worked extremely hard to achieve their goal in writing. Also, they have tremendous insight into human nature.
