i listen to them, and today my friends said they where emo. i personally have to disagree. but what do you think?

i personally dont like blue october and i think that its wrong to call a whole band emo because hardly any of them are entirely emo. What is emo any ways????

Emo is not really a proper term to label a band because every band writes some kind of emotional lyrics, so every band would be 'emo'. It's a stupid term. I think everyone should drop it.

No. They are so not emo...
Emo usually has some kind of screaming.
They're more alternative/indie.
Plus their lyrics aren't all "omg my life sucks"
i mean i love some emo bands.... but Blue October isn't emo.

i hate how people have this warped idea of emo. it came from emotional, as in emotional music but when people hear emo they usually think. cut themselves. depressed. want to die.
that isnt emo.... its a kind of music but no blue october isnt

I don't know... I love them and I am gothic..... Love the song Hate me... Ecspecially the part about Cockroaches..... LOL,.... JK I am not goth :) Just kidding with you. Actually I really do love them My favorite song is into the ocean!

who cares whats emo. it means nothing. if its good music it's good music. i think they have some good songs.
