Does anybody know what the deal is with EGCG ( the chemical in green tea) its supposed to bond to some protein that changes during cancer and it prevents the protein from changing or something right? so what beverage has the most EGCG in it? I doubt that new snapple green tea really has the most EGCG in it its prob. just the most conventional drink that has EGCG in it.
Thanks

Green tea contains compounds known as polyphenols, including phytochemicals that have antioxidant, antibacterial, antiviral, and health enhancing properties. Tests on epigallocatechin (EGCC), a particular type of polyophenol in green tea, have shown that it is able to penetrate the body's cells and shield DNA from hydrogen peroxide, a potent free radical. Green tea protects against cancer, lowers cholesterol levels, and reduces the clotting tendency of the blood. It also shows promise as a weight loss aid that can promote the burning of fat and help to regulate blood sugar levels. Green tea is simply the dried leaves of the tea plant.

It is best to take it naturally to get the most benefits, rather than drinking the commercialized versions that contain loads of sugar and other additives.

Is it a question or answer? And anyway, green tea capsules are available so you don't need to drink all the liquid. And check for the contents of the capsules and take as directed.
