I was tatooed in the 50s> ONe in t.j. one in Japan and one on my buttox. They used cadmium and mercury in those days to change the pigements of you skin. I got cadmium poisoning ,work related, and they look like hell today. everything that was red, yellow or green became a big weeping sore and lost all its' color The one on my hiney was a pair of ruby red lips. They turned purple and all but disapered. I'd advise not to get a tatoo> but you do what you think is best. I did!

I have 5- done over a period of 5 yrs. An arm band just above my elbow of a sankrit mantra. a beautiful creaper and lady bugs around it on my ankle, a celtic butterfly on my inner wrist(left hand), another beautiful buterfly on the nape of my neck and finally my boyfriends(now husband) name which he signed and the tatooist put ink on on my right hip.
Phew.
And no regrets what so ever for any of them.

No, i dont have any tatoos. It is ink that stains your skin for life. I do have my belly button pierced though.

no and I would say that 95% of them are terrible. Rarley have I looked at a tatoo and said to my self- that is cool. Ocasionally if the art work is tremendous I will be impressed- maybe about once a year. Piercing is even worse. I have never seen any body piercing that looked good. Ears excepted.

a Pegasus on my right ankle done it in 1992 so now it looks like a blue blotch
