I've visited both and the answer is London, hands down. It may be more expensive in general, but I've lived in Zurich (one of the more expensive places on earth) and the locals know how to do things for less. On key item is transportation. You don't need to buy an expensive car and gas in Europe. Public transportation is readily available and relatively cheap.. London is a great jumping off point to Europe. If you could get away for one week per month, it would take 20 years to run out of interesting places to go.

Well what is important to you. I would take London without a doubt, but the cost of living would be higher too. The reason I would pick London is because once you are there you can travel all over Europe by train, and I would get the chance to see many places. Not that the job is not important, but it would be easier to travel. I am a person that likes to travel. Now on the other hand, if you want to stay closer to home, take the Houston offer. It will be easier for you to go home on the holidays. The decision is yours. Good Luck.

Consider the cost of living in the UK. I hear it's really high. So, it wouldn't really matter if the job in London was offering more if everything is more expensive.
I've never been to London or to Houston. Personally, I would go to London to experience something new.

Well, maybe I'm biased, living in Houston, but I would say come to Houston. I think that we're underrated as a city. We have one of the best art communities in the country, there's lots of diversity, and the cost of living is probably a lot lower than it is in London. Houston is a great place to live, but not a nice place to visit (it's hard to deal with the traffic and pollution-the two complaints I hear most about here- unless you're used to it. London also has traffic and pollution, by the way).

Go to Houston, the heat, the sunshine and the rest . Why come to London, horrible weather, cost of living high, people's indifference. All that make my life miserable, I'm British retiring in London.

I LIVE IN HOUSTON & THE ONLY GOOD THING I LIKE IS THE PLETHORA OF RETAURANTS OPEN 24/7. THE HEAT, CRIME, & TRAFFIC ARE UNBEARABLE AT TIMES BUT THAT HAPPENS EVERYWHERE IN BIG CITIES. I'D DO AS MUCH "RESEARCH" ON BOTH CITIES AS I CAN. IF YOU'RE IN MEXICO I'M SURE THE HEAT & HUMIDITYWON'T BOTHER YOU. I HAVE NEVER BEEN TO LONDON BUT I KNOW THINGS ARE DONE DIFF. THERE. I GUESS ALSO TRY TO WORKOUT WHAT WOULD BE MORE COST EFFECTIVE IF THAT'S A PROBLEM FOR YOU. . FINALLY SEEWHICH OFFER HAS THE MOST BENEFITS BESIDES SALARY GOOD LUCK.

Can I come with you, I have lived in London for 26years, and have visited friends in Houston I love it there. Although you've been offered a better salary in Uk, the cost of living is high. If you are considering purchasing a property prices are steep. Clothes are expensive and also travel.
If you come from Mexico I'll definately say go the Houston COWBOY!

I'd take Houston USA
I've had the same dilema, but with Canada & London, I think North America is much better because everything is much cheaper and salaries are almost the same, London and Europe is very expensive and everything is small, it is hard to buy a house there
Yes, in London you can travel and everything to Europe, but believe me, I don't think I'd go to Paris or these places more than twice, you also get fed up with it!! And with your salary in Houston you can go to Europe for a holiday!! I believe you can save more in the U.S. than in London and the quality of life is better, do a little bit of research on the internet and you will see how many brits want to flee from the UK, on the other hand, have you ever met an american wanting to emigrate? me never, Americans live in the best country in the world and they know it
