It's not a black hole shift, it's a flip in the sun's magnetic poles. It happens every 11 years, and is responsible for the sunspot cycle.

Since no black hole shift will take place in 2012, then we cannot give you any viable link. I'm sure you can find plenty of crank links.

December 21, 2012, marks the end of the "long count" in the old Mayan Calendar. On that day, it will be the winter Solstice and the Sun will appear to be in line with the centre of the galaxy.

Therefore, if you insist on using a back hole somewhere, the line between us and the Sun can be continued to the centre of the galaxy where there is a Black Hole. The black hole will not notice. Neither will we.

The "shift" comes from the fact that on the following year, the line joining Earth and the Sun at winter solstice will appear to be on the other side of the centre of the galaxy, until, 25,800 years later, after 5 long counts, we'll go through the same thing again.

The end of the Mayan long count is their equivalent to our December 31, 1999. Remember? That is when all our computers blew up and we all died.

There is no black hole shift that is to take place in 2012. There is a Mayan calendar than ends a major cycle in 2012, kind of like your car's odometer turning over from 99,999 to 100,000 miles, but that doesn't mean anything special, at least not to me.

Since this business about 2012 is mythology and not science, you might search some mythology sites (I think the source of all this is the Mayan calendar).

?? Black holes exist only in science fiction, same as worm holes and global warming.
