How do I record streaming audio?

I need to record and store a radio broadcast for a class. I need to be able to record as it is playing but I don't know how. What do I need to do? Do I need a special program?

I use a little thing called Hi-Q Recorder . It's very simple to use and will record anything that comes through your speakers. There's a free version from www.RoemerSoftware.com or contact them by Email: [e-mail]
