if it wasn't for him i would have died. i'm 37 and he is only 21. i feel like i am in love with him. i can't stop thinking about him. we were intimate for 6 months. but he has a girlfriend and a little boy. he used to tell me he wished he would have met me a year ago...before his girlfriend got pregnant. he would always tell me we should move in together. it's been since june 13, 2006 that we've even touched. i figured i would be over him by now but i'm not. im wondering if this has something to do with him saving my life.

Where does his girlfriend fit in this picture. Does he go having affairs with every woman he saves? He's an rshole who takes advantage of a woman he saves - without any promises. He used you. You paid your dues, now move on. Find yourself a true love who would not cheat on you for 6 months behind your back when you have a baby to care for.

Let us look at this in another way, you are 37 and he is 21 age difference 16 years. He has had a child with another person and obviously he has tried to make his arrangement work. You are indebted to him for your life, that is not love. Even your intimacy was a way of giving him thanks for what he has done. There is a fine line between what you want and harassment be careful and make it a no contact rule. Look for someone to love for themselves, personality and a desire for you.

yeah it does.

its called the Florence Nightingale Effect. it was first discovered when soldiers in war would fall in love and marry the nurses (and vice versa) who took care of them and saved them.

its a psychological thing called countertransference. "condition where the therapist, as a result of the therapy sessions, begins to transfer the therapist's own unconscious feelings to the patient."

Wow you even remember dates, I'll say you're crazy in love. You should contact him, just as friends to never break that thing you two once had. Who knows maybe he could take the kid and move in with you...lol.
