What would be some inexpensive sculpting materials such as paper mache to make a maniquin look alike. I want to make a monster. Kind of the ones you see in Silent Hill!

Not familiar with Silent Hill, but have friends and family save junk mail (especially pulp-type paper), as even the day-glo and bright door flyers and stuff can be soaked, some starch or water-base glue added while blending in some old blender to make a finer mache to work out details. Adds color, too. Found objects- keep your eyes open, and think adhesives- epoxies over water base (when dried) can add new materials, and sometimes adhesives break down foams and other stuff, and it can look pretty gross, which can be a good thing. Just let everything dry and set up properly. Have fun.

you can use cardboard and chicken wire to create a base or framework and then use paper machie to cover it and then for the finer details use tissue paper to make the machie for the finer details and then when it is dry, use paint over it.
God bless,
