Browser hijacking is one of the web's constant dangers. Whether it arrives in the form of a flood of obscene pop-up windows assaulting you after a mistyped URL, or malicious code taking over your browser completely, chances are good that every Internet user will be subjected to this practice in some form.

Here are few more scans that you can use that are free.

All of these are ones that I personally use and all are free. After you install any of them, make sure you update them to get the full affect.

Spybot - Search & Destroy detects and removes spyware, a relatively new kind of threat not yet covered by common anti-virus applications. Spyware silently tracks your surfing behaviour to create a marketing profile for you that is transmitted without your knowledge to the compilers and sold to advertising companies. If you see new toolbars in your Internet Explorer that you haven't intentionally installed, if your browser crashes inexplicably, or if your home page has been "hijacked" (or changed without your knowledge), your computer is most probably infected with spyware. Even if you don't see the symptoms, your computer may be infected, because more and more spyware is emerging. Spybot-S&D is free.

Your PC has a browser hi-jacker. THere are forms of this that hijack your " back space key", or your " back-arrow". You need to scan for spyware, because this is a trojan spyware. These spammer like spyware infections keep redirecting you to the same site , page or whatever, to add up the hits on their site, thus their popularity is up on the web. This hijacker seems to have hijacked your home page, which is a new wrinkle. Use your anti spyware scan & get rid of it. If you do not have a good program, uninstall the one you have & download SpyBot Search & Destroy 1.4 anti-spyware. I use it & I have been spyware free for3 yrs.
