Well if all liars glowed in the dark the job would be easier for the rest of us. But since they don't, we need to develop strategies. The one I use is to hear a person's words, in whatever context, and see if they have a basis in reality. If they don't, the next thing I do is to try and discern if the person's words not sqaring with reality are serving some hidden agenda- in other words, I'm looking for deception in what the person says. Spotting a liar is not an instant, on the spot process unless the person says something that is instantly and obviously not the case to all concerned. Actually, finding out if someone is a liar is more of a cat and mouse game. Always determine to be the cat.

a) A certain dilation of the eyes that say, 'Did I get away with this?'
b) Liars have to remember their lies because they know that others will. Sooner or later, people start to become aware of the inconsistencies.
c) Liars in time become habitual liers and an habitual lier ceases to know the difference from reality and illusion and fact from fiction.
d) Liers have no sense of shame. If they are caught in the act they will try to lie their way out of it.
e) Liers never apologise or feel regret for their lies - they simply rationalize.
f) Liers will insult your intelligence without remorse.
g) Liers have never learnt that the first and foremost premise in any real and meaningful relationship is honesty. Only a dishonest person would disagree with this.
I hoped the above was of some help. Good luck with your spotting. Liars can be often dangerous people. They leave a lot of relationship debris behind them.

I've met some liars, like anyone. But, this is B A D, when it involves a relationship, or business, after that I don't trust many people.
A liar: Won't, look at you eye-to-eye for any length of time.
Has a problem with recall on their story.
Itch their armpit, because of sudden urge to sweat.
Say they know every thing. Ha!
Can't produce real tears, even when their sorry.
Eyes dilate in bright light.
Stutters or has a nervous tick ...
Can't answer a question fast, and has to stall for time, or the just look at you stupefied, because they never thought you'd ask.

Liars do not like it when you ask alot of questions. They change the subject when you ask them a question. Their stories eventual will not match up, because they forget what they told you. Also, if you can go to the source, then you will know the truth. Meaning, if the told you person X said "xxxx", go talk to person X.
Also, is what their saying believable? Liars come up with some unbeleivable tails...

A liar can be very well spotted by his/her actions like:
- Tries to tilt his/her face away from you when talking to you;
- Feels shy and sometimes minces the words;
- Can not see you directly in your eyes;
- Tries to change the topic of talk to avoid being caught;
- Shows the tendency of running away from the situation;
- Speaks hesitatingly;
- May try to present some unusual proofs in his favour etc.
How so ever clever the liar might be but, he gets caught definitely.

A liar will tell you much more information than they need to. Look out for extra details.

There is a slight change of tone in the voice - even good liars cannot change this - although they may be able to fool you with their body language

their lips are moving. I don't know, you would have to define, 'liar'. who and what determines the truth. who and what determines the level of honesty. As in the saying, "Beauty is in the eye of the Beholder", then the Truth is what you want it to be. clinical example: Did you speed anytime this year? cheat on your taxes? your wife? ever call in sick (when you were'nt), promise someone anything just to get rid of them? give a phoney phone # to someone you really don't want calling you?.........dishonesty, in all its levels and variations are in every aspect of our lives, it is almost ingrained. the only thing you can do about it is go with what feels right to you, and if nothing else, try to think of anyone you know that DOE'S NOT LIE.

Because the lie has no basis in reality, each time it is told it has different details.
Pupils dilate.
Eyes bug out.
Eyes move side to side.
I love this one: The liar answers yes while his head shakes no.
