During the last few second on a bid on ebay, about at what second should i place my bid?

If there was 5 minutes left on an item, at what time should i place my bid so that i have time to confirm my bid and time to outbid my opponent?

Depends on how bad you want the item, if they have a max bid it could out bid you, it's automatic. But if you place a bid and they don't have a max bid wait as long as you can, with enough time for the info to transfer thru your computer.

People can outbid you at any time so the best thing is to
keep an eye on the auction and submit a new bid as soon as you discover that you have been outbid.
