Well, for a planet to be livable for life as WE know it, it has to have the right available temperatures and it has to have water, sunlight, and air. Other planets don't have those things, or not enough of those things, for us to survive there.

First there was the earth, then there was life, because the earth apparently has 'a suitable' environment for life to exist. Not all lifeforms on earth can survive under the same circumstances. Humans can not survive under water whereas fish can. So even on earth different lifeforms require different circumstances.
For humans to survive in the short run we need the correct atmospheric pressure and composition (o2, co2 etc), temperature within certain boundaries, food and water to consume, shelter from all of the above when actually we don't want it.
In the long run we need less obvious requirements, such as other human beings to interact and reproduce, law and order to prevent chaos, knowledge to fight diseases etc. etc.

we've discovered some planets exterior of our photograph voltaic equipment yet they're so some distance away that we don't understand lots approximately them. finally we attempt to be certain: a million. if there is the different existence in the universe 2. if there are the different liveable planets for us in the propose time, we could paintings on swifter procedures of transportation, as with modern technologies astronauts would be long ineffective earlier a spaceship would desire to attain the closest galaxy, assuming we had adequate nutrition and stuff to circulate there and assuming there replaced right into a liveable planet there. the 1st step would be to get people onto planets in our photograph voltaic equipment, we are going to mars first.

Lucky for us we are in just the right spot to support life. Any closer and it would be too hot. The Russians got a probe to Venus but after only taking 2 very grainey photos it burned up. Mars may have had water and an atmosphere at one time but not any more. Without water an atmosphere can not exist. Water and temperature are the two keys...

The planet is liveable because of the people that live in it. God has made these people, therefore he makes the planet liveable.

Love. The most powerful force on the planet. Greater than the Atom. It isn't everywhere, but we know it exists!

For starters, Walmart and Starbucks havent expanded to other planets yet. As soon as they do, look for people to start flocking there.

That's a good question. Idk, maybe it's beacuse the other planets like Mercury and Venus the first and second planets from the Sun they don't have that protective layer like ours (ozone) to protect it . Those planets get so hot, we would never be able to survive there.

The right temperatures. If our winters were just s little bit colder, or our summers just a little bit warmer (which apparently they are getting to be) then we would not be able to live here. Also, water helps and is pretty important.
