Those familiar with the USA network series: MONK & PSYCH?

For the past couple of weeks USA has carried adds announcing the "season finale" of these two series...yet i thought the current season(s) only started in January. Am i mistaken or how comes the running season is so short?

No, they started airing both seasons in the summer of 2006. Then they stopped about halfway through the seasons at the end of August and took a looong hiatus until January. And now they're over :(

I know I could not believe it.It doesn't even make any sense.
