LoL, I'm laughing because this has happened to me once and I've seen people do it. The truth is, you have to let it run its course and it could take a good while depending on how bad it is. I know it's a mess but you will have to clean up as much as you can with some dry towels. And just start it again until it finally rinses all the bubbles out. It just takes some time. That's the only way to do it. Just try to get as much bubbles out as possible so that it doesn't take as long and isn't as messy.

first remove all the dishes from the dishwasher than add in a cup of liquid fabric softener. then run thru a short cycle. the fabric softener is a type of anti foam and will kill the bubbles. if there are still more bubbles add more (i don't know the capacity of your dishwasher, you may want to start off with more than a cup to be safe). once the suds are gone, run a couple of cycles (empty, no soap at all) to rinse the softener away, then you should be could to go. good luck.

If you add some liquid fabric softener, it will stop the bubbles. Be sure to run your dishwasher a couple times to clean out the soap and fabric softener

Its going to be kind of a laborous task. Start scooping suds and water out of the dishwasher. Turn it back on and start scooping again and repeat this process until things get back to normal. Ha, I tried to use dish soap once as a substitute and I had the same results.

SMART KID! I didn't do that until I was 20.

Put towels, a lot of towels, on your kitchen floor.
Open the dishwasher.
Remove the bottom rack.
Sop out ALL of the liquid and detergent.
Run a blank cycle to clean out any residue.

You can try vinegar in the dishwasher to get rid of the bubbles. The rest you'll have to mop up.

OMG I totally did that a couple years ago MYSELF (I'm 25 now)! Yeah, I'm a retard. "I" got it out by first, scooping the suds out of the washer. Letting it run until it started sudding it up again, scoop out the suds, and so on. It took a few hours but it worked for me.

Salt will break up the existing bubbles. Fabric softener prevent more from forming.

sorry to say but the only thing that works when my kid did this was a sponge and a bucket of warm water
