if it's not moving while it's being dried, it will get wrinkled. i would not iron it, because that would possibly bother the material within, or cause some other damages.
perhaps you can wash it again, and let it dry in the wind, or else somehow hang it in the bathroom, and take a hot steamy shower?
or throw it in the dryer for like eight minutes, get rid of a few wrinkles

You definitely can iron it. It's easier to do this when the comforter is on the bed. You might not be able to slide the iron easily over the surface if it's tufted or very puffy, but that's okay. You can hover the iron above the surface, or touch it lightly down and move it back and forth a little, and then lift and go on to the next area. If the comforter has a dark cotton fabric, directly ironing it can make it shiny, so put a thin cloth in between.
You will probably have best luck using a steam setting. If it's polyester, use medium heat. For cotton, heat can be higher.
Next time you launder it, try using big commercial machines at a laundromat. It's inconvenient, but you won't get wrinkles.

I recently bought plastic dryer balls from Bed, Bath and Beyond. They're great. You put them into the dryer instead of a sheet. This might help in preventing wrinkles because they are somewhat heavy and woul dkeep the comforter fluffy.
Also, remove the comforter from the dryer the second it's done. Then hang it up somewhere for a little while and smooth it out with your hands.

Like all clothes if they sit in the dryer to long, they will wrinkle. The only suggestions I have are to either remove it as soon as the dryer stops, don't let it sit in the dryer, or get it professionally cleaned.

No, you can't iron a comforter. Make sure you get it right out of the dryer while it is still warm. You could go to the laundry mat and use the steamer.

Just put it in a dryer, using medium heat and add also three tennis balls into the dryer! It's noisy, but you get a fine result.

Try one of those vacuum storage bags. Dry the comforter and pull it immediately, fold smooth out and vacuum bag it, should make it flat.
