Dear Friend,
It seems that you are questioning how to underline a portion of text or a sentence while composing an email probably.
If that be the case, this may help you.
On the top of the composing box you will find several small icons, and the letters B,U I, and a colour palette and a small window showing font size in number like 10 or 12 etc.
After typing the email select the portion of the text, or whatever the portion.this you can do just by putting the cursor where you want to start and dragging it on the text with moving mouse or touch pad in laptop. The text will turn black and text appears white. Then if you want to underline that portion press ''U"' on the top.Automatically that portion will be underlined. If You repeat the same again the underline disappear.Similarly making the letters bold press ''B''. and to turn into italics press ''I''on the top of composing window.
By changing the number in font size after selection of the text , as said above, you can increase or decrease the size of the letters,
Similarly press the colour palette at the top and select the colour you want the text to appear, after selecting the text only please.Press the colour you like ,the text turns into that colour,
Hope , I have got you right and answered,if not , please forgive me.
All the best.
