I want some real answers. Some real ECW wrestlers. I want something legit. Like many of you WWE homers, you will answer RVD at #1...I know this because he was in the WWE for more than 3 years and you all don't know any other ECW wrestlers.

In my opinion the number one is New Jack, he was popular, he brought great marquee value (the whole garbge can/dumpster/shopping cart) full of weapons and the guitar smashing, 20ft dive of balconies were a great gimmick and although a 40ft dive (which he was reluctant to do) fractured his skull and caused brain fluid to leak out through his nose and mouth which causes him problems to this day he still was willing to wrestle for ECW. Number Two without a doubt Terry Funk great wrestler, had an incredible 3 Way Dance with Stevie Richards and Sandman at Barely Legal and a Barbed Wire Match with Sabu later that year (which he lost but really helped Sabu) plus he was willing to do that, lose to the younger guys make them look good and help them devolpe. Number Three Tommy Dreamer, the heart, soul and guts of ECW nobody loved it more than him had great feuds with Sandman, Justin Credible, the Dudleys, Brian Lee, CW Anderson and others. Number Four would have to be not Balls Mahoney the other hardcore chair swinging freak Axl Rotten, he missed the WWE VS ECW Head to Head and got fired but he and Ian Rotten (who wasn't really his brother) were the only ones brave enough to do the Taipei Death Match and he also did do some great tag team stuff with Balls Mahoney and really helped Balls Mahoney become more than a jobber (somebody who nobody cares about they just lose to people and don't get PPV exposure) so Balls Mahoney really owes a lot to Axl Rotten. Number Five would have to be Sandman it's a shame how he's being treated now but in the old ECW he was great and he (not as much as Cactus Jack though) really helped out Mikey Whipreck in becoming a star and had great feuds and matched with Tommy Dreamer (Singapore Caning Match), Cactus Jack (Barbed Wire Match, Texas Death Match), Raven (Barbed Wire Match, Cage Match), Sabu (Stairway to Hell Match) and other great ones.

1. Sabu. The guy is amazing. He kicks *** any way he can. He is athletic, strong, fearless, and will fall off scaffolds through more tables given the chance at glory.
2. The Sandman. He is a beast. This guy will knock your head off with his singapore cane, drink a beer, smash the can on your head and beat you some more. Great charisma, okay wrestling style, but in ECW...WHO WRESTLES ANYWAYS!!! We're off to never, never land!
3. Eddie Guerrero. Long live Eddie. He is a pure bred ECW by heart. He is a true champion in my mind, and even though his charisma in ECW was sub par, his wrestling ability is incredible. Viva la raza!
4. Tazz. Oh. My. God. This man, is an animal. He can rip you apart, suplex after suplex, tazzmission after tazzmission. His wrestling style is superb. He takes the cake for best wrestler. Hands down...or should I say, TAP OUT!
5. Chris Benoit. I love this guy. His willpower, his determination to win, is legendary. From suplexes to headbutts, this guy takes extreme wrestling down to the wrestling core. Benoit will make you tap out in seconds, and you know what they say about his matches: blink, and you might miss a Benoit match!

This was the talent of ECW back in the day. You could say the lucha's, but back then Rey-Rey was nothing but multiple hurricanrana's. It's true that all of the men above jumped to WCW, and then WWE, but they WERE ECW originals, and they WERE a huge selling point in the early days.
