i'm so sick of all these races complaining that they deserve reperations and the immigrants complaining they can't enter this country i'm sick of the europeans thinking they can boss everybody around. And everybody complaining about america in general. the government give holidays to certain races and festivals to celebrate others. well when people are so busy complaining just remember that this land was once a becutiful land that our Native people loved and worshipped. Before this land was "the USA the land of the free" it was america OUR america. So where's our F***king holiday?????

I believe there actually is a Native American month, but I dont know when it is.
But you do have a good point. Too many people write off native cultures as inferior. There is serious ethnocentrism (whites above all others) in American history as it is taught in schools.
I highly recommend the book "Lies My Teacher Told Me: Everything Your American History Textbook Got Wrong" by James Loewen. Theres tons of stuff in there you might be interested in. Specifically alot of untold stories about Thanksgiving, and native americans in general.

that's over due and approximately time that we've an area american holiday!! The white progression stole their land and their way of existence, they deserve a extensive acceptance for what they went by way of!! to no longer point out the lack of ability of acquaintances and relatives and lifestyle as a results of white guy!!!

Please excuse being a 'white' girl... I know I can't ever really know since I am not in your shoes...but just wanted to say that I agree. : ) (Just hope it's not automatically stuck in November...*roll eyes* if so...)
People don't get that the only ones who knew this land to really be FREE were all those that lived here before anyone else showed up. What we have now is only a 'belief' of what we think 'free' is.
