When Natalie made the statement about George Bush being from Texas, why did everyone blow up when Bush and his family come from Maine? He might LIVE there but he's not FROM Texas.

The dispute there wasn't about whether or not he's from Texas it was about them saying they didn't like him followed by everyone going ballistic.

They should have realized that as country artists most of their listeners are conservatives.

However, the very same pundits who tried to crucify the Dixie Chicks for speaking their minds are the same people whining about college students protesting conservative speakers at their Universities.

It seems everyone wants free speech as long as no one says anything they don't want to hear.

You are right though he's a rich kid from New England masquerading as a good ol' boy from Texas.

I live in Ohio. If i buy a house in Texas tomorrow, does that make me a real Texan?

They were outraged that someone could insult their president "in a time of need"

I supported the DC's then even with all the bashing aimed at the group . They were called everything imaginable and yet it is Bush who needs the bashing and a good impeachment.
