Books & Magazines! I have been making jewelry with hemp and beads for years and just recently started branching out to work with wire and metals. I didn't even know what eyepins were used for until I grabbed a book or two. The "for dummies" series has some really great beading/jewelry making books with simple instructions and projects that give a lot of inspiration for more difficult projects.
There's a great website with supplies, I think its called fire mountain gems & beads, they also have project ideas and instructions.
Look in fashion magazines and see what's shown - if you take a close look at some of the pieces you can figure out how they're made.
feel free to e-mail if you have more questions about it, I'll try to help the best I can!

Beading magazines are a great source to learn techniques and to get some awesome ideas! If you have a Michaels or Pat Catans near you check with them to see what kind of beading classes they offer.
The best advice I can give you from personal experience is to invest in a good set of beading tools such as pliers, crimpers, and a tool to open up the center of the bead some more - a beading mat is also good to invest in
Good luck to you - beading is a lot of fun once ya get into it!

i began rings making many years in the past, I went on a beading taster route and became hooked! Bead weaving, utilizing nymo thread is amazingly time eating, yet produces staggering consequences. to attempt this you'll want a range of seed beads, beading needle and nymo thread. a reliable pair of embroidery scissors will be a reliable funding to shrink thread on the fringe of the beads. regardless of the truth that technique you make certain to attempt, you'll also desire your fastenings, i.e. earring hooks, necklace findings etc. Beading with cord is lots less complicated and produces speedy consequences. For this you'll need skinny cord, crimp beads, a small pair of pliers, fastenings and beads. There are quite some ideas to apply. My perfect advice could be to envision out your interior sight man or woman training college, they actually usually run taster classes in the course of the summer season, you receives professional, fingers on advice it truly is truly significant for a newbie. There are some astounding books available, pop alongside for your interior sight activity keep and characteristic a glance - get one geared in route of novices. i wish you have a good time with your new soaking up activity.

You can also try your hand at making your own beads. Hobby Lobby in particular has some decent kits, and Fimo canes are pretty simple to make.

Start with some simple stringing projects, like a bracelet and matching necklace. Practice your knots, and finishings.
