There's usually something in the flashbacks that connect the "Lostees" together, but I didnt see anything. Did I miss something? Anyone notice any small details or clues?

I know what you mean....the only thing that had me confused was Desmond's lack of underwear...and outerwear! What was going on- and he already knew about Locke's "speech". I was weird because they must have been blwn out of the hatch, except I thought they said that it imploded....as far as connections go, there was only Locke's trippy airport scene with Boone, that seemed to connect everybody- Did you notice that Kate and Sawyer were together in that? Jack was all alone. Anyway, I'll be watching next weeks episode....and probably every one after that...

That dude from Cheech and Chong movies was Hurley's dad. Figured he'd play a deadbeat.

The big "deal" was Kate spelling it out (for those who were too thick to get it on their own) - that Alex, Rousseau's daughter, is alive.

No, I don't think so really...it seemed to be all about Hugo and his curse/reuniting with his pa...(the flashback portions anyway...)
