Regarding your first question, Yes, indeed. I have felt in that way many times. Perhaps you have to figure out what makes you feel alone. Ask this question to yourself and try to answer it with total honesty. If you think that the reason is very complex, perhaps a good therapist could help you to deal with it. But I think that you should look carefully for a GOOD therapist if you decide to engage in a therapy. Look for somebody that won't involve you in a very long therapy unless it is absolutely necessary and DON'T take psychotropic drugs!! They won't help you to feel more accompanied!!
Think that in the last term everybody is alone and has to be strong enough to count on his or herself. Try to learn how to get stronger. Many people feel like you. Yes, I know, It's scary and seems difficult, but we are here to learn from ourselves from day to day.
Regarding your second question, I think that I've already answered it. Find you own strength. Don't leave your well-being in other people's hands.
Good luck

Good question! Yes, I have felt this way. Truth be told, it's hard to bring yourself out of this kind of thing - it's even harder when, as you say, the one person that can help you is making you feel worse. Best thing I found to help is to get out and take a walk alone. The fresh air's good to help clear your mind and help you think things through. Just keep your chin up and things will get better.

This sort of social isolation can be because of a lack of self confidence, or shyness/ social anxiety.
As for the second bit - why is your sense of happiness so invested in another person? Its up to you to make sure you are happy - not anybody else. If they have upset you, take some time out to work out if you can fix this friendship and how, or let it lie for a while.

Yes, I have quite often. If the person is making you cry, than leave. No one is forcing you to stay. If that is how you feel then change the scenery and the people around you. You can control how you feel and how you react to the people and places around you . So do it........

Honey.... If you are talking about a relationship you are in.... Let me give you the SAME advice my mom gave me. You shouldnt be in a relationship that makes you feel lonely, even when you are with them. Find someone who will make you feel a constant connection. Good luck
