I am using a laptop. My dad has 2 desktops that he uses for work and a laptop. The rest of my family has a laptop.

The correct term is laptop or desktop. There is no such thing as normal.

Both. I have all my main files on my desktop networked so I just use my laptop for conveince mostly.
