Things were a lot better just after the war. There is a lot more viciousness about now. But a lot of good people too.

Full breakfast in Bert's including double bubble, Tubby Isaac's seafood, trip to the dogs with the old man, fruit and veg from the market, the turkey man comin round on christmas eve, round to nan's when the folks were out, goldfish from the rag and bone man, smack round the shell like from the local plod, loyalty, family, day out to Margate on the boneshaker, getting chased through shadwell by siobhan malloy's old man, Happy Days in the Cat and Mutton in Broadway Market, losin my cherry on a day out at ruislip lido, Thanks for askin the question, was it really that long ago? Be lucky. xxxx

People looked out for one and other then .of course there was crime and villains but i was more from institutions not mugging and burglaries for a bit of crack .people had a sense of humour then not censured for being politically correct.look at the 60's TV shows then everybody saw the joke and didn't take offence .nobody ran around tryin to sue any thing they could. we had youth clubs and coffee bars to go to.now its hang about on streets untill you get a ASBO ,

yes i do miss east london, when old jewish ladis would ask you to get a quarter of tea for them from the co, and stepney was full of nice people, until the moved the old people to golders green and places like that, and, you could buy rolls at blooms on a sunday.

not form London but still i agree with your question and the answerers above except 2 of them. some people are just losing it, things are just getting out of hand and it's a shame that the same people think it's funny.
