My boyfriend has a bald spot in his beard. Hes a hairy sorta guy and has really thick facial hair. He shaves about once a week. Recently I noticed a bald spot about the size of a dime on his jaw. Theres no hair there its just smooth like there never was hair there. Whats up with that? Will it grow back? And what causes it?

that is more typical than you probably believe. If it is that smooth, it will not come back most likely. it can be from atleast a few things, genetics or stress. I know a bunch of people with that problem even on their head.

It's actually not uncommon. A lot of things could have caused it i.e. a burn, a wound or the folicles might just not have matured in that spot.
If he keeps facial hair, have him sculpt his beard so that portion is shaved.
