It was almost 3 weeks later I received them. After leaving Jamaica I was told that I should have been compensated for those days inaddition with the inconvenience of travelling back and forth to the airport. I'v contacted Air Jamaica's office and I've been getting a lot of running around. Should I proceed with this matter?
Your opinion is greatly appreciated. Serious answers please.

YES YOU SHOULD PURSUE THIS ISSUE the newspaper the gleaner or the star has a columnist that offer free public inquiry .. i cant remember the actual name however they deal with consumer affairs. i would suggest you write the jamaican gleaner editor and address your concern, i feel for you and wish you well.if all fails, write a public letter in the newspaper to the prime minister portia simpson miller explaining your dilemma. lastly ask for the regional director and write a letter ,a certified letter. they would respond to protect their public image www.jamaica-gleaner.com

What a nightmare. It wasn't bad enough they misplaced your luggage, now they are running you around in circles! My sympathies to you.

Perhaps you can check the airline policies regarding lost luggage. If it is their policy to reimburse for inconvenience then you should definitely pursue it. You also might go to TripAdvisor.com and search for Jamaica. They have a forums section that is a question and answer. You could ask this question there and see what kind of replies you get. Most likely someone has had a similar issue with Air Jamaica and maybe they will offer some advice.

My apologies on behalf of my national carrier. I'm sorry to say that this situation is very common nowadays at Air Jamaica. I can only imagine what it felt like to be without luggage and having to travel back and forth trying to retrieve it, undoubtedly, dampening your visit.
Honestly, I'm telling you that its not worth it.......it will take weeks to get any form of compensation from them, they will have you in circles. The most important thing is that you got your luggage, even though late, consider your self lucky, trust me, Most people in your situation aren't that lucky.
I suggest you try once more, and hear them out, but unless you plan to waist your time, forget about it. I know you're thinking someone needs to teach Air Jam a lesson, well if u have the time, TIME!!!, and money, go ahead, but its a waste of time.

Again i apologise
Good Luck!!!!!
