TOYS FOR BUNNIES.

Cardboard rolls from toilet paper and paper towels are great chew toys.
Dried pine cones, straw whisk brooms, hand towels and even old telephone books can keep your rabbit busy for hours.
Boxes full of shredded paper, junk mail or magazines can be used for playful digging and scratching.
Paper bags and cardboard boxes can be used as hiding places, scratching posts and for chewing. Make sure there are two areas for your rabbit to enter and exit. A large cardboard box turned over with holes cut big enough for the rabbit to go inside and disappear are quite popular. Each day change the boxes as bunnies get bored easily. Use long boxes like those for fluorescent lights (open on each end) and computer boxes, which are turned over with holes cut in each end so he has his own burrow.

CAT and KITTENS
Make a small hole in the top of some plastic bottle caps and thread an old lace through the hole. Make a knot so the lace cant come out. Now tie three more laces together to the first lace. Here you have something you can pull along and the cat will chase or hang somewhere where it can dangle.

use carpet square remnants wrapped around blocks of wood for a homemade scratching toy.

Cats and Kittens will chase about anything so you can be really creative in your ideas.

DOG and PUPPIES
Sock Ball

MATERIALS
3 or 4 unmatched or holey socks

* Take your longest sock with the smallest holes for the base
* Roll and stuff the other socks inside
* Tie a firm knot in the base sock above the stuffed area
* Double the end of the base sock back over the entire ball
* Tie a knot above the stuffed area again
* Repeat Step 5 until you cannot tie a knot any more
* Cut the end of the sock just above the last knot

PADDIO STICKS

MATERIALS
Colored tape
A large old T-shirt or equivalent
Sticks, 1 /2 to 1 inch (15 to 25mm) in diameter, about a foot long.
NOTE:-Green sticks that bend rather than break, are preferable, and crooked sticks rather than totally straight add a little extra fun.

THE PADDIO STICK CROSSIE

Take two sticks and for each stick do the following:

* Cut/tear strips about 2 inches (5 cm) wide and as long as possible from the T-shirt ([If you tear horizontally you'll get the longest pieces]
* Take a strip of rag and lay the stick on it
* Wrap lengthwise a couple of times, covering the ends of the stick
* Tightly wind the rest of your strip around the stick and wrapping
* When that strip ends, start with another, overlapping the ends
* Keep on with another strip or two, remembering to wrap tightly
* Tuck the last end under previous wraps, using a knife to help
* For a decorative touch, apply plastic tape around the ends
* When you have both sticks firmly wrapped, lay them crosswise and use another strip of rag to bind them firmly together in the middle.

THE PADDIO STICK TRIANGLE
* Take three sticks and wrap each of them per the Crossie above
* Lay the sticks in a triangle, leaving about 2 inches (5 cm) sticking out at the ends
* Wrap each corner firmly, going around and between each stick
* To finish off, tie a knot and tuck the ends under a wrap
* When you have all three angles done, add tape as desired.

RODENTS
Tunnels
Pipes made of hardened plastic or PVC large enough for hamsters, mice, gerbals etc can be put in thier cage. You may want to get an adult to make an extra hole in the middle of it if you wanted. PVC is easily cleaned.

Climbing toys
Ladders, ropes, branches, tubes, cement bird perches, stacked boxes (securely fastened), hammocks, and other items can provide numerous climbing activities. These can be attached to the top and sides of the cage to greatly increase the amount of play area in a cage. Bricks and concrete blocks can also be used, if the cage is sufficiently large.

Chewing toys
rats and mice need toys they can chew. This is necessary for their dental health since their teeth keep growing and need to be constantly worn down. Paper tubes from Toilet paper or paper toweling, cardboard boxes, and egg cartons make very inexpensive chew toys.

Shredding toys
You will find that mice and rats also enjoy shredding softer substances such as toilet paper, straw, sisal, and other similar items. These can provide great entertainment and also soft material with which to line their sleeping area.

Rabbits are very curious animals, so make something light-weight that they can pick up that will make noise, a good dog toy would be to drill a hole through a tennis ball and put a rope through it, and rodents would enjoy something to climb into and around.

See if you can buy some plastic easter eggs in the store and maybe some little bells or something that might rattle alot.Put the rattleing thing inside the egg. This would make a good toy for the cats

my family has a dog and she loves it when we get her toys but it can be expensive to constantly run to the store so what we do is if you have any socks that you dont wear or have holes in them, you can tie them in tight knots and dogs will chew on them and play with them for days. our dog loves it....

Damaged golf balls make great toys for cats, or very small dogs(big ones could chew, and choke on them). Golfers throw them away.

Also, dented ping pong balls.
