how to erase list of links that I used during the day?

Goto X:\document and settings\[username]\my recent documents and delete it's contents.
X = Boot Drive (normally c)
[username] = duh
In IE you can click Tools>Internet Options and delete your history and temporary internet files
Alternative - don't do thing or look at things which can get you into trouble.

Right-click START button and choose Properties.
Choose the Customize button. Clear recently used programs here ... Next click the Advanced tab and you'll see where to clear the list at the bottom.
