Being an old time hockey fan I am going to go back to the 71-72 Boston Bruins. Phil Esposito led the way with 152 points on 76 goals and 76 assists. Bobby Orr followed that up with 139 points on 37 goals and 102 assists. Third on the team in scoring was Johnny Bucyk with 116 points. He had 51 goals and 65 assists. Ken Hodge followed that with a 105 points season finishing with 43 goals and 62 assists. That year the Bruins set 37 individual and team NHL records.

Milton Bradley performed for (and performed his way off) the la Dodgers, the Oakland Athletics and the San Diego Padres. Pinch-hitter extraordinaire Mark Sweeney performed for the Dodgers, Padres and San Francisco Giants. Pitcher Brett Tomko performed for the A's, Padres, Giants and Dodgers. Pitcher Matt Herges performed for each NL team in CA (he actually has the excellence of pitching for each team interior the NL West). Pitcher Mike Fetters performed for the Angels, A's and Dodgers.

Lemieux, Jagr, Nedved and Zubov in 95-96. The Pens finished 2nd in the East (4th overall) while Lemieux and Jagr were 1st and 2nd in scoring. Nedved had his best season in the league, notching 45 goals and 99 points. Zubov was a +28 to go along with 66 points from defence.
This Pittsburgh team put up gaudy numbers as one of the NHL's last offensively minded squads in the history of the league. These Pens pushed the Cinderella Florida Panthers to a 7th game in the semifinal round, but fell short of a shot at the eventual championship Avalanche team.

I'd probably pick Red Wings of 2002, who had 9 hall of famers, Luc Robitaille, Steve Yzerman and Brett Hull 1st team ever to have 3 600+ goal scorers, and with Fedorov, Shanahan, Lidstrom, Chelios, Hasek and Larionov

Not bad. I'd have to agree with you there. How about some guys from the 70s Canadiens, the likes of Guy Lafleur, Ken Dryden, Larry Robinson and Yvan Cournyouer? All are Hall of Famers. Think also of the late 70s and early 80s Islanders with Bossy, Trottier, Potvin and Smith in goal. A couple of other possibilities to think about.

Yeah, I would probably agree with you about the late 80s Oilers but this years Pens aren't bad with Crosby, Malkin, Staal, Recchi and Gonchar.
