I'm just learning to use utorrent since I just got it and I can't understand why when I try to download something the percent doesn't change. I really need help figuring out the port forwarding. Do I need a static IP? If I get a static IP will utorrent actually work? Please help, thank you.

It should be fine. Maybe you are just downloading a bad torrent that's why your download stops at a certain percentage.

You need to look for a torrent that has more than 1 seeder that have a 100% file. Your download ratio should show more than 1.00. If it doesn't then don't waste your time downloading the torrent.

Good Luck!

It dosent matter, whether static, or dynamic.
As long as, if your using a router, or firewall, to open the port
for it to use.

I think the last time when I installed utorrent it defaulted,
to something like port 11260.
But you can change it if you want.

You need to find a torrent with seeders, the more the better.
Heres the utorrent FAQ.
