That'd be Pete Conrad, mission Commander. Alan Bean was to Apollo 12 what Edwin Aldrin was to Apollo 11.
Aldrin is probably unique in being the only person in human history to be remembered by most people for being second.
Pete Conrad is really badly known however.
The Command module pilot, Richard Gordon. Well you can forget him

Slip Johnson. He was the first black man on the moon as well. He would have been the first one on the moon but he decided to take a sip of tang and Neil Armstrong got out first.
Atleast Slip Johnson remains the title of the first black man on the moon though.

every one of those men's names should be learned and remembered by every school kid just like marco polo or columbus. i have a picture of the mercury seven autographed by each astronaut. my uncle was one of them, and let me just tell you they were (and still are) some great american heros.
