At the site of a fracture, there is an influx of inflammatory cells to clean out dead and dying tissue. After that, proteins (collagen, etc.) are deposited and a weak form of bone is deposited on the protein scaffold. Over time, this bone is remodeled to the stronger arrangement we think of as typical bone.

First it is SET by a doctor, then your body produces white blood cells to fight infection, and the bone cells(calcium)regenerate to fix and fill the gap that was created.
