I kind of have to agree with VG here however there are MANY tropical fish that can live in colder water besides goldfish and Koi. Barbs, Bloodfins, Buenos Aires Tetra, croaking tetras, hillstream loaches, many native species of North Americian fish and guppies just to name a few.

I am going to assume they are fresh water as well. Your fish may require a heater, but even still many fish can and do survive temperature drops.

How old is your tank? (Set up wise?) If it had not properly cycled the ammonia spikes could have killed off your fish.

Here, I suggest if you do not know about cycling your tank, read the link below.
http://freshaquarium.about.com/cs/biologicalcycle/a/nitrogencycle.htm

11 fish seem like a lot for a 10 gallon tank. Over loading the tank will also cause ammonia and nitrate spikes which are lethel to fish.

What is your water quality testing at?
One last thing if you are buying your fish from walmart, stop. They rarely last long. Find a good pet store.

If you need additional help or would like to send additional info, feel free to email or im me.

You haven't said what size your tank is or what kind of fish you have. This is extremely important in helping to diagnose a problem. There isn't enough information to properly diagnose the problem, but to just go with what you have. Tropicals need heat. They must have water that is constantly kept at between 74 and 80 degrees F. Keeping tropicals in cold water will kill them extremely fast. The only fish that can live in cold water is goldfish. The temperature wouldn't kill them off, but having 10 or 11 goldfish in one tank would definitely kill them unless your tank was around 100-200 gallons, which I'm doubting. You seem very unknowledgeable about fish. I would suggest that, before you get any more fish, you do a lot of research and reading on things such as how to cycle water, the nitrogen cycle, proper water changes and tank cleaning, filtration, heat, types of fish and their individual needs, how many and what types of fish you can put in a particular sized tank and how to identify and treat diseases. The more knowledge you have, the happier and healthier your fish will be which will make you happy too! Good luck!

Fish are animals.
They need space, warmth, food, and all the things that living creatures need to be healthy.
If you are going to own an animal, you have to know what it is, what it needs, what it likes, and what can harm it.
You don't seem to even know what kinds of fish you have. How can you possibly care for them? Maybe they are eating each other because you are mixing species that don't get along. Like putting a deer in the same cage as a tiger and then wondering why the "mammals" keep dying.
Either google "freshwater aquarium fish care" and do some research, or give your fish away to a good home and buy a lava lamp.

That tank is in simple terms too small for something yet shrimp and small snails. in case you decide on guppies you decide on a 38 litre tank. while you're happy with only 1 fish you have a betta in a 19 litre tank. All fish choose a filter out and tropical fish choose a heater.

You probably need better tank maintenence i.e. more water changes. A heater will help maintain temp consistantly and it's vital for fish health. Aquariums for Dummies will help. You may have to read and learn something on your own.

buy a submersible heater cheapest should be 11 dollars and make sure u use it correctly. depending on what type of fish u have if they r tropical they need a certain temperature.

also...
use (quick cure) many pet stores carry it. I use it every time any of my fish are in danger or for new fish that carry anything. It has NEVER failed me. It works quick!!! goodluck

You need to go to the place where you bought them.
The person in charge there may know if the water / food or even the place where you keep them is appropiate.
He may even tell you what to do if the fish are experiencing any symtoms of any disease. Good luck!

get a heater for the water. Also from experience when we had coi in our tank it helped to put plants in the water so they could get oxygen and we changed the water more so they quit dying out so much. Also maybe your fish aren't good to be all put together in one tank so maybe you could spread them out.
