Foundation, mascara, the works??? 13-14..........when your face starts breaking out like crazy and you need to cover it up. Just use oil-free stuff.
But as long as your face is clear? Avoid heavy makeup as long as you can!

well i'm 13 and what i wear is lip gloss, a little blush, mascara, eyeliner and just a little shadow to bring my eyes out. i started wearing makeup when i was 11, but not as much as i do now. i don't think there's anything wrong with young girls putting on makeup as long as they don't look like they went overboard. i think 10 year old girls should only wear lip gloss, you know the lip smackers kind that smell really good and no girl can resist. by 11 you can start to wear some mascara. by 12 u can do the whole eyeliner, mascara, lipgloss shadow and blush. i think lipstick is really creepy looking on a young girl so i wouldn't reccomend that till you're like in ur 20's. 10 yr olds will probaby poke there eyes out with eyeliner and mascara plus their eyes are much more sensitive and young. this is how i look at it. i don't think anyone needs concealer or foundation until they start breaking out and don't just buy it because you want ur skin to look more perfect if u don't have pimples cuz it'll only make ur face look worse.

When I was around 12 I wore mascara, lipgloss, blush, and concealer to cover up pimples, and seldomly eyeshadow. I am now 13 1/2 and I wear everything because my face has started to have a couple of breakouts which I have to cover up. In the end though I look great and natural!!!!!!!My friends think I don't wear that much makeup, while some of mine wear loads and you can tell. I recommend bareMinerals!!!!!

i think about 14-15 years old. any younger than that and they seem to be trying to hard and well they also seem to get into more trouble with the boys and stuff. You know what i mean. i have two younger sisters. one 16 and a 1/2 and the other 14. the 16 year old one started wearing make up when she was 13 and she is really up her self now (no offense sis) and really is self obsessed while my other sister has only just wearing lip gloss and clear mascara and she seems to not care as much as her friends who wear heaps. But I would definitely say the later the better.

I think that hardcore use of makeup shouldn't be used until you need it as in you're getting old. Alot of teenagers wear WAY too much makeup on a regular basis. They cake on foundation, eye liner and eyeshadow and lipstick to the point they look like clowns. I think late teens is a decent age to start wearing makeup 14-15 and younger is definitely way too young I mean you're still growing at that age and your skin needs to be taken care of and not abused by too much makeup.

well i am twelve and i am wearing make up like your talking about and i think about 11 or 10 is to young but 12 is were u should start maybe go a little light. When u get older were more daring things and for now just stick with eyeliner (little) eye shadow, lip gloss, and concealer

Okay, now there's girls who like to play in their mom's make-up young and girls who are getting all dolled up for school make up young. If the girls just playing dress up with the make up. There's no age limit let her. She's a girl, boys roll around in the mud without complaints. But if she's seriously going all out with mascara, and foundation and blush, if she's not a teenager she's def. too young. 10, 11, 12 too young. 13 maybe a little mascara and eyeshadow. But watch the how heavy she uses it, with the men these days, you wouldn't want to confuse her age.

I think that it is best to slowly introduce makeup. So, lip gloss at 10. Mascara at 12. Foundation when the acne starts to flare up. After that, I'm not sure. I definitely don't think that any girl under 16 needs to wear foundation, mascara, lipstick, eyeliner, eye shadow, etc.

From a top modelling agent, girls should not wear any eyeliner before the age of 18.
I think 12 is too young for regular make-up.
