Kinda depends on the anime your looking for. Because there are very few sights that support more than one anime. But I would go to Evil empire forums for direct downloading in case you dont have torrent. But you have to register with the forum (It's free) and post 10 posts in order to get to the download section. They have loads of manga too.

most of us use bittorent, coz it's easier. if you use bittorent, you can search for the anime torrents that you want on the web. i prefer to use direct download though, it's faster(for me).
if you use bittorent, www.fansub.tv is a good site(mostly new series though)

try using utorrent or limewire. i use utorrent cuz it's easier.
