Just wondering. Because down the street there was someone with a short bus parked in their driveway.

It would be kind of fun to drive a short bus in my opinion. Offer rides to the neighbors for 5 bucks lol. And hey at least the person gets free gas Im sure they get an employee gas card so lucky them.

I work as an aide on the "short bus", which is for special needs students of all kinds. We can't park them at home, only at base. However,why would you be embarassed that you work at a really good paying job,with good benefits and free insurance?
My students in the morning are not even special needs kids like you are thinking of. They are extremely smart and gifted kids who go to a magnet school way accross town from their homes.. They just take the "short bus" because we are willing to haul them all the way accross town and the "big yellow" busses won't go that far out of their way to get them.
You are not trying to be mean but you sound a bit snobby.

Hey I drove one of those short buses!!!! I was divorced and had 2 kids it paid good money. It was a great job that I enjoyed going to everyday!! There is nothing wrong with driving the short bus. I had the sweetest kids if other kids were as nice as they were. They have it hard as it is enough people make fun of them and give them a hard time. We had fun on my bus!!!!

No, when I got off work I'd pick up all my friends and go out on the town, Would you go with us or would you be embarrassed to ride in a short bus?

Well, it sounds mean. I think that is a very admirable job! (The children who ride the 'short bus' have to put up with a great amount of bulling and teasing, because they are different!) The drivers of those buses serve a great purpose! I think it is aweful! to think badly of them!

What's wrong with that? They're trying to make a living, get some extra money or just get bye. They are responsible for the lives of children on the crazy streets that we see every day are getting worse.

No, because all they do is "drive" the bus, not like they ride it. And other children would be makin' fun of those who ride it, but yeah...
