I had recurrent thrush for 4 years and now I have chronic vaginal pain because of it. lol ******* indeed

For Americans - British use the word thrush to mean a vaginal yeast infection. If it's thrush in your mouth we call it oral thrush

By the way I treated it every time so I don't know what's it's like if it's left untreated. But I hear it will go away on it's own.

It's ruined my life in case you were wondering.

Well it depends. If it is recurrent vaginal thrush the chances are you have the fungus inside your body. The best way to help clear it is go to your gp or and eat natraul bacteria yoghurts, or live yoghurts to keep thrush at bay. It doesnt mean your dirty

It is also a symptom of diabeties.

The body is quite resilient and in most cases it would probably overcome the infection in time. It would however be very uncomfortable and itchy.

There are a number of readily available over the counter treatments, both topical- cream + pessaries, and tablets by mouth. A good percentage of patients now choose this to avoid a GP contact. However GPs are of course happy to see patients with this condition and prescribe.
