I watched him go to Belgium for 3 months so he could train his replacements and see his Mecca (he loves beer).
But you know what? That's part of a relationshp. He does stuff for me that he doesn't like--watching HGTV for example.
Relationships aren't a time to be selfish. If you're commited, you'll both do a little push and pull to make your partner happy without getting rid of your worth.

Mine chose to go to Vegas over Valentine's Day. When she called, I answered the phone "Will you be my Valentine", figuring that was enough. WRONG. She got home a few days later and there was no card waiting and I took some serious criticism for it. The point that she had picked Vegas over me so I had to spend 2/14 alone was not valid. Being wise, I apologized. Jeez.

yes went on vacation with his parents for 10 days. Not real fun for me, but, it made him happy.
27 years happily married.
Sometimes, you have to do things like that to keep peace. And remember, they will have to return the favor someday.
Paybacks are a b***h!!

Oh for sure, after 18 years - lots of things. What annoys me most, is if he does something I don't like I have to lump it!! yet the other way round its a different story!! grrrrrr

Sometimes.....it was OK. I pretended I was fascinated with JEEPS...when actually I did not give a cra) about them. i even learned all kinds of things about them to impress him. Now we are married and he knows I don't really care about them. This was back in the begin inning when I was trying hard to impress him

Yes... Hated giving oral sex... my hubby loved it as most men do! So I did it.. now like it myself!
There are other things less sexuall in nature too like... football, that I actually LOVE to watch now! And cooking that wasn't my cup of tea... now a fabulous cook....
Relationships are all about compromise with each other!

Yes.
Went to 3 family functions..even thought I despise his family.
But after his midget of a sister tried to start a fight with me...I now refuse to have anything to do with them.If I NEVER see them again...It will be too soon.
