I have a 55 gal freshwater African Cichlid Tank with one Pleco. The Pleco eats lots of Algae thus he creates a lot of poop and it is really making the tank look disgusting. Are there any fish or invertebrates that will eat the poop as part of its diet?

No, you should be using a gravel vac during every water change to remove the debris that is stuck in your gravel and isn't sucked up bu the filter.

Use good judgment here, if a fish would desire to consume poop, it would nonetheless produce waste after which you will could clean that waste up. Waste won't magically disappear except you clean it. additionally there is no fish which will consume poop, there are some scavengers which will %. up after your fish, yet goldfish consume each and every little thing so there is no choose for them. clean the sand many times and get a good filter out those are the terrific ordinary procedures to evade poop. good success!

Unfortunatly, no there are no fish that will eat poop. Some will try it thinking it is food and spit it back out but none will eat it. I would get a good phsypon and clean the tank twice a month if the normal once a month is not enough. Wish I had a better answer for you.

As you were told you need to vac.

There is only once invert that will consume fish waste and pollution and that is a sea squirt. no other fish or invert eat fish waste. That is why you need to clean an enclosed tank.

The pleco does seem to have a lot of waste, however your cichlids are not much better.
