How about "Cover Up" with Jennifer O'Neal as a photographer and Jon-Erik Hexum as the model? This show was the won with the Bonnie Tyler theme.
Yes, Jon-Erik Hexum accidently shot himself on the set, and was replace by another model quality actor (Anthony Hamilton).

I remember that .. He was quite sexy . He actually died while filming the series. He shot himself and that's why the series ended but for the life of me i can't think of the name grrrrr
EDIT... Models Inc theme tune was NOT I need A Hero !
MIke below with Cover Up was right with the theme tune ..Maybe you getting them both mixed up (?)

I remember it. It was on BBC 1 on a friday eve.It starred jennifer O'neal and John erik hexum.The name escapes me.The lead actor was replaced after a shooting accident that killed him on set.Hope this helps.
