It's called a strait. Like the Gibraltar Strait, which connects the Mediterranean Sea with the Atlantic Ocean.

I'm not sure there's a term quite that specific. Strait is a narrow body of water..but it doesn't have to connect a sea (ex. strait of Magellan..pacific and Atlantic are connected.) But it's possible..as given in the example of strait of Gibraltar..but the term "strait" doesn't specify it's a sea joined to ocean.

Canal is man made. It can also connect two rivers, two oceans, a lake and an ocean...whatever type of water bodies.

An isthmus refers to a narrow land mass (Panama is the isthmus of the Americas)

strait. a channel runs between 2 large land masses, like europe and England, while a canal is usually manmade.
