I know that I have got plenty of basketball and football tickets close to tipoff for big games WAY cheaper than what people generally want for them. Has anyone ever had success with this for a big concert? I know it is trickier because the main act normally wont come on for 2 hours or so after the start of the show.

I want to see Hank Williams Jr. and Lynyrd Skynyrd in Baltimore but dont wanna pay 60 bucks for nose bleed seats. I bet I wouldn't even get in if I waited till the last minute, but I might try.

For somebody like Hank and LS....especially TOGETHER... if you wanna get a good spot that's not in the back (or worse, no spot at all - they sell fast), you should definitely buy them now.

I hope you have a good time and are able to get in, whatever you choose to do. The Rowdy Frynds Tour isn't coming anywhere near me - wish they were! Skynyrd is my favorite. I know they'll give you a rockin' night :D I can't wait to see Skynyrd again, but South Florida isn't on their tour schedule yet. I am seeing ZZ Top in a week though, and The Outlaws, Marshall Tucker, and Charlie Daniels all on the 12th of May.

Anyway, good luck to you!!

My sister used to use this tactic all the time for Backstreet Boys tickets! She'd wait until a few hours (or the day) before showtime, and the previously "reserved" seats right up front would be released if they weren't redeemed. She'd just keep refreshing the ticketmaster screen until something popped up.

The seats weren't cheaper, but she was able to get within the first 5 rows for 4 or 5 shows!

Hey man.. I don't know how many shows I've gone to WITHOUT tickets... As soon as you pull into the parking lot there are a bunch of scalpers selling... they follow the stream of vehicles.. I have always picked up tickets for less than face value.

And if you can't find tickets... there's always getting drunk in the parking lot!

Usually not. If you wait too long, the tickets will sell out and you'll be stuck with whatever ridiculous price they are going for on EBay or what the Scalpers are charging.

yeah you can get them cheap right before, but they will more than likely be nose bleed seats by that time.
