I understand Betta fish blow bubbles when their happy or horny or what have you. But now my fish started zipping back and forth back and forth in his tank all day long. He's not eating his food as aggressively either. And he's flaring 80% of the time. Why is he acting like this?

Do you have a decoration he can hide in or plant cover? he may stressing out and mine acted in a similar manner till I added a hollow bell to the tank. After a few days he went back to normal.

for this I would agreed with Palour, it's most likly that he's felt stressed.

Maybe you have added something extra in the tank that he dislike/making him feel uncomfortable.

Or teh water condition is pretty bad that he have, but no chioce, dance to alert you about it!

Horny?! Under such condition, please don't add a female to him. He might just killed the female before mating or the water condition's so bad that it killed both.

Cheers.
