Do Component cables make the Playstation 2 graphics any better. Or should I just run in standard def?

I just got a new hi def TV and i need to know if im wasting my money on C cables for my ps2.

On the hierarchy of picture quality, component cables is almost the best you can get. You should notice a difference by switching and using them. Component cables are cheap to purchase as well.

go with the component cables...you will notice a huge difference

Also, once you get your cables, if the game supports widescreen and progressive scan, enable them. that also makes a difference in picture quality.
