If you don't have Microsoft Office you can use Open Office, its free. It will open MS Office files, save files in the same format, export files as PDF's.
Its an open source project and theres another called Inkscape which people use to make clipart and graphics, you can get the Open Office clipart library and the programs from their website.

I usually do it with google or one of those search engines. Google has image option and it also has advanced search too. By using both you can easily find any pics, clipart, gif, or whatever you need.
