they run around like really too fast to pick up.. easy way w/o it escaping the cage?

i have an anole and i just put my finger underneath his chin adn kinda lightly push and he just crawls onto my finger =)

whatever you do, do NOT pick them up by the tail. Anoles and other herps have a defense mechanism in which they completely disconnect the tail from the body, leaving you with a bloody wiggly tail. I would block half of the cage when you are trying to get them out to perhaps clean the cage, but I wouldn't pick them up and hold them. They really are not made for such a thing.

Chase it towards the glass, then cup it in both hands. Let it's head poke out, but grip it hard, but not so hard that you squish it and kill it. Just wondering, do you own green anoles?

you can take some fishing line tie it to a stick, make a slip knot about 3/4 " slowly put noose around his neck and lift him up.it doesnt hurt him.i used to put a necklace on like a collar and pin it on my shirt. he will get used to you and realize your not gonna eat him.

YEAH I HAVE AN ANOLE AND I I WAIT TILL THEY ARE STILL AND THEN I COME UP REALLY QUIET BEHING THEM AND CUP MY HAND OVER THEM ( WELL ONE AT A TIME ) AND PLOP THEM BACK INTO THEIR CAGE.

I've had them too. Corner them and gently hold them over thier cage so they don't get loose

They are cold-blooded-a short blast of the fire extinguisher will chill them enough to make it quite simple to pick them up and pose them for funny pictures.

Make a noise like a walnut, they love walnuts. If that does'nt work hit them with a hammer, they love attention....hope this helps

oh- just be patient and gentle. They like to shed their tales. I always get them against the glass and slide my hand up.
