Stokely Carmichael coined the term, "Black Power."

I saw him deliver a speech once. He sure knew how to whip up a crowd. Reminded me of Adolf Hitler -- not his politics, but the way he unified and excited an audience. By the end, the crowd was on its feet, with their fists raised, chanting "Black Power, Black Power, Black Power...." The most amazing thing was that most of us were white!
